Michael Jordan is arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. His insane talent, matched with his work ethic, made him one of the icons of the century. But, probably what drove him was his competitive nature. Jordan used to compete at everything. Let it be a basketball game, poker, or one of his favorite pass-time golf.

His story about how he schooled a young O. J. Mayo is still legendary. Mayo was one of the kids who attended Jordan’s basketball camp and he got a little ahead of himself. Jordan had to teach him a lesson on the court to shut him up. That’s how competitive Jordan is. He schooled an 18-year-old while being over 40 years old. And that’s how Jordan is still is according to one of his former players.

Felton is an NBA veteran who has played for several teams. One of them was Jordan’s team, Charlotte Hornets. Felton speaks about what happened with the Hornets and how they played Jordan in a scrimmage. He says,” I got a picture of me playing him 1 on 1… There was a couple of us out there, we were playing one on one. Everybody wanted that chance to go at MJ. Gaurd him, trying to score on him. It was fun. He was staying in the competitive spirit.
