According to Marc J. Spears and NBC Sports, the Atlanta Hawks might be scouting Simmons for a possible trade. The 76ers are including a surprise package in the deal, and it’s Tobias Harris.
However, it is still unclear whether the Hawks would still be interested in taking Harris. A bad season and huge salaries pose a problem for teams looking to acquire Harris’ services.
The Ben Simmons drama
Simmons is yet to appear for a game for the Philadelphia 76ers and his future is still in the air. The drama started all the way back in January 2021 when Simmons was involved in trade talks involving James Harden.
Although the deal did not go through, the fact that the Philadelphia 76ers were looking to move Ben Simmons away seemed to have upset many fans and the player himself.

Simmons had a disappointing season and all trade talks involving him reached no fruition. His rebellion was becoming more and more evident with each passing day as he even missed the 76ers’ media day.
Both camps have yet to come to an agreement as Philadelphia still tries to get a trade deal for him.
Is a deal involving D’Angelo Russell and Simmons on the cards?
Out of the many teams looking to take Ben Simmons in their roster, the Minnesota Timberwolves are desperate for the Australian’s signature.
Reports state that the Timberwolves are looking to offer every player in a trade, including former Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell. The only untouchables in the Wolves’ camp remain Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Russell has been the weak point in the Timberwolves defense and Ben Simmons can certainly help fix that. With Russell on guard duties, opponents are shooting 51.8% on two-pointers. Although he has improved upon his defense this season, Simmons is a sure-shot upgrade with his defensive qualities.
