A former teammate of LeBron James has been in the news lately for his choice for GOAT. It was not particularly his opinion, but his thoughts on why LeBron James is not better than Michael Jordan. And a former NBA champion has ripped him to shreds with some bizarre Jordan comments.

Ray Allen has been in the spotlight of late. When talking to a few teenagers about who the GOAT is, Allen just seems to disregard LeBron from the conversation. He asked the young fan if LeBron was a great free throw shooter or a great three-point shooter or a great dribbler. Even though LeBron is a heck of a player, there are a few areas where some players might outshine him.

Allen said that if he’s not great at these three things, how can you consider him as the GOAT? And he just seemed to walk away after that.

Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins did not like those comments one bit and he even referenced Michael Jordan as one of the reasons Allen threw some shade at LeBron.

Perkins was asked what he thought about Allen’s comments on LeBron James. He said,” Hell No. I mean the fact that he said, is he a great free throw shooter, is he a great dribbler, is he a great three-point shooter, and that Ray Allen was saying those things to justify the case why LeBron James wasn’t the GOAT. You know my response to that? Okay cool.”

“And the Walk-off right? The walk-off after he said it, it was like he dropped the mic and I’m like, come on Ray Ray, we know that Jordan family package hit different.”

The Jordan family package was in reference to the gift Allen got from Jordan. It contained the best shoes from all the teams Ray Allen played for and Perk said that is why he threw some shade on LeBron. Allen has his own points and opinions on who the GOAT is, but choosing only a few facets to prove his point seems to be a bit of a stretch. And Perk ripped him to shreds.
