“No one can guard Durant by himself. Durant’s 7 feet tall. Kevin Durant has been better than LeBron for at least five years. He proved it in two playoffs and never sweated.said a player who played in the 1970s.

Durant had mentioned in the past how he hates being number 2 all the time. “I’ve been second my whole life. I was the second-best player in high school. I was the second pick in the draft. I’ve been second in the MVP voting three times. I came in second in the Finals. I’m tired of being second. I’m not going to settle for that. I’m done with it.” Durant mentioned this in an interview with Sports Illustrated in 2013.

KD has won two straight titles and back-to-back final MVPs when he joined the Warriors in 2016. He outplayed LeBron James, which brings up the debate about who has been better the last 5 years. His title pursuit of 2019 took a major hit when he suffered an Achilles injury, which made the Golden State Warriors significantly weaker.

Durant is currently averaging 27.1 PPG, while LeBron is at 27.0 PPG. Kevin Durant gets the edge here because he has played fewer games when compared to LeBron James. That Kevin Durant has come out on top of LeBron James when facing each other in the finals gives Durant the edge over James. (Source: NBA.com)
