Former NBA Star Who Won Rings With Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, Admits to Lying About His Salary on a Movie With Will Smith and Martin Lawrence

NBA players acting in movies is not a new thing. This has been going on for a long time now and some players have movies of their own. But you may not hear of a player lying about his salary in a movie with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. And this player has won titles playing with both Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.

John Salley acted in the movie ‘Bad Boys’ starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. He had a small role and was paid a small amount for it.

But they asked him to reprise his role in the next movie, Salley has something special in mind. Salley is now a TV star and a radio personality now. He has also acted in several movies and TV shows.

Salley lies about his salary in a movie with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence

Salley was paid a little more than $700 for his role in Bad Boys. But since he had dues at the SAG, they took all of it and he ended up receiving nothing. But when they asked him to reprise his role, Salley explains what he did.

Salley adds, “In the next time going around, they go hey were doing Bad Boys 2 and were going to bring you back. And they go how much did we pay you the first time, I said 20,000”

There are very few people who played with both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. There are even a few to win a championship with both of them. And one of them is 4 time NBA champion, John Salley. Salley is a former NBA player who was drafted to the NBA by the Detroit Pistons. He won two titles with them and he moved around a bunch of clubs.

Then he joined the Chicago Bulls where he won his third title in 1996 with Michael Jordan. After playing overseas for a couple of years, he returned to the league with the Lakers.

He won another title with Kobe Bryant after which he retired from basketball. He was the first player to win a title in three different teams and the first player to do it in three different decades.

During his playing career, he has played 748 games and averaged 7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
