The New York Knicks have not had the best season so far. Hence, it is ideal to see some tensions rise within the squad. Speaking of which, Julius Randle has been making headlines of late, but for all the wrong reasons. Recently, he caught everyone by surprise when he squared up with a team official.
While facing the Lakers, Randle and a coach clearly had a disagreement. But instead of talking things out calmly, Randle went right up in his face.

Experiencing an underwhelming season, things are not the best in the Knicks camp. The New York team has not been able to perform up to the standards of the previous season. They are evidently struggling and that has led to some anger building up in the players. With Randle remaining in the news for trades and even having some incidents with fans, it seems the anger is getting got out of hand now.

Julius Randle takes on Knicks’ coach
The Knicks had a roller coaster of a game against the Lakers. After a dominating entry into the game, they quickly fell apart over the last three quarters and went on to lose in overtime. However, during one of the timeouts, the team was having a discussion and Randle wasn’t listening to the coach.
For the same, the team official said something which did not sit well with Randle, who went right up to him. A couple of other officials came in and took Julius Randle away from there. However, Twitter was not a fan of Randle’s behavior.
Don't disagree, but, the outbursts & temper tantrums are becoming a pattern. And he is the self proclaimed leader of a team comprised of a lot of young guys.Leaders keep their cool. The guy sure didn't look like he was yelling at Randle, just pointing out something on video.Bad look.

I wouldn’t use the term “nutcase” but this is not a good look! This is just going to fuel the fire smh. Still we need some context.

Outside looking in, the coach wanted to point out an assignment, possibly a defensive one and JR got in his feelings about it. This is stuff you do behind closed doors not for the fans and world to see.

What i dont like is this is obviously him being put on the spot for bad defense and he took it wayyyy too personal. Everyone has to deal with that shit. Thats a coaches job. Hold players accountable and help them fix the problem. You cant coach that type of attitude.

This shit going viral in less than hour? Yea Randle is done. Knicks fans not having it

Randle will never recover here in NY, it's over. Once he started with the thumbs down stuff war was declared. Knicks fans are the most loyal in the entire NBA almost 50 years with no chip proves this, but we not letting Randle play us like that.

I can’t defend Randle here. I was becoming a bit more cautiously optimistic about him and thought he was getting past these bad attitude but seems like nah. At least better on the court.
The all nba season of last season got to his head too much.
Possibly uncoachable.

Randle has seen a drop in his performances this season. Not only have his points gone down, but his shooting numbers have also taken a toll. Despite that, Randle was at his All-Star level while taking on the Lakers. He was on point for most of the game, finishing with 32 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 assists. That did not turn out to be enough as the Lakers came roaring back into the game.
Currently, the Knicks are out of form in the Eastern Conference, sitting in the 12th seed. With a record of 24-29 to their name, they are trying to get into the play in the tournament. However, it is not going to be easy from here on out, as it is a cutthroat contest. They will need Randle to step up his game while the rest of the Knicks need to fire on all cylinders as well.
