Former Teammate Compares Kyrie Irving to Kobe Bryant After Performance Against Celtics

It is extremely hard to stop a player like Kyrie Irving when he gets going. He’s like a wizard with the ball and Irving recently enjoyed a hot-hand performance against his former team Boston Celtics. This had the entire NBA community hyped! 

The Nets took on the Celtics at home and Irving inspired his team to a sensational victory. He went 15-23 from the field and finished with 40 points, eight rebounds, and three assists on the night. 

It was a wonderful performance from Irving to bring up Brooklyn’s first win after the All-Star break and more importantly maintain the Nets’ unbeaten run against the Celtics this season. Furthermore, it was Irving’s second 40-point game of the season.

Kendrick Perkins shared a message after Kyrie Irving dropped a 40-piece 

Kyrie Irving is leading the Nets’ scoring charts in the absence of Kevin Durant, and he increased his reputation with a splendid performance on Thursday. He led all scorers in the game and Jayson Tatum was the second closest with 31 points on the board. 


Irving also made a remark about his ever-lasting bond with the Celtics after the game, but his performance was also a statement to everyone doubting the Nets. Moreover, Irving’s former teammate Kendrick Perkins made a massive comparison after Brooklyn’s win.

Perkins just like everyone, was blown away with Irving’s display of brilliance. Moreover, about the other part, it is no surprise that he’s got that Mamba Mentality in him. The point guard was one of Kobe Bryant’s biggest disciples

Kyrie Irving is rising above hate in his new role with the Brooklyn Nets. The big three pairing has not seemed to complicate things for the franchise. Consequently, this is good news for Nets fans and a crushing one for the opposition.

The Brooklyn Nets are primed to win the championship this year. Kyrie Irving needs to be at his constant best for it to happen and he already has experience about making a deep playoff run. It’s about time he puts into use with a different team.
