Former Teammate Hits Out After Tracy McGrady Calls Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving More Skilled Than Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are considered to be the best duo in the league right now. Many have considered this duo to be more skilled than everyone in the league. Furthermore, NBA legend Tracy McGrady took it a step ahead to claim that this duo is more skilled than LeBron James and Dwyane Wade and Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. In response to this boisterous claim, a former teammate of the Chicago Bulls greats called him out.
Ron Harper was the starting point guard on the Chicago Bulls team from 1994 to 1999. He won three championships with the Bulls and he also won two more with the Los Angeles Lakers. Harper was known for being an excellent perimeter defender and ball handler. Unsurprisingly, he does not agree with McGrady, who said that the Brooklyn Nets duo was more skilled than anyone in history.

McGrady gets destroyed by Harper for mocking Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen
McGrady was on the Club Shay Shay podcast and he was talking about Kyrie and KD. He said that Kyrie has a deep Skillset and a huge bag of tricks. Tracy also added that you cannot ignore Durant’s height, and it is astonishing that he shoots 50% percent from the field. Especially because his shots are mainly jumpers. And then he made a bold statement that surely raised some eyebrows.
He said without a doubt that Kyrie and KD are the most skilled duo we have ever seen. McGrady claimed the only duo which comes close to them was Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Moreover, he added, LeBron and Wade can’t even come close to the Nets duo.

KD and Kyrie are outstanding offensive players, but on the defensive end, they do not come near the Bulls duo. Pippen and Jordan were excellent defenders, and they consistently made the defensive first team. Even Bron and Wade are excellent defenders, and Bron could guard any position.

Although KD has become a very good defender in the latter stages of his career and Kyrie also plays defense when necessary. But they do not compare with the Bulls duo or even the Heat duo on that side of the court. Their offensive side of the game may be the best ever, but they surely have some shortcomings on the defensive end.
