NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most dominant men to play in the NBA. The Lakers legend was a force to be reckoned with in the low post and in defense. But off the court, he was one of the funniest guys and has a lot of fun with his teammates.

Over the years, multiple teammates have shared crazy stories about Shaq on their team. Now, another NBA legend, Grant Hill has hesitantly revealed one such incident about him during his time with the Phoenix Suns.

In one of the newest episodes of the “All The Smoke” podcast, Hill had a discussion with hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.

During the show, Hill also said that the Lakers legend is one of the craziest and nastiest teammates ever. And there are a lot of stories about him.

O’Neal was not in his prime when he joined the Phoenix Suns in 2007. But that didn’t stop him from having fun with his teammates on and off the court. His teammate during the time, Grant Hill, said that Shaq was one of the funniest guys without even trying.

When talking to Barnes and Jackson, Hill said, “Shaq is the craziest teammate, nasty. Hey man, I mean so many stories man. He was naked all the time… We were in the showers after practice, and he goes to J Rich, ‘J Rich you got a fat a** man!’ I’m like, ‘How do you come back?’ And ‘What did J Rich do, man?’ You know what I’m saying, Shaq was just, he was funny, he was nasty, he was crazy…”

Hearing this, Barnes and Jackson couldn’t control their laughter. G-Money also said how Shaq used to talk to coach Terry Porter when he asked the center to help in defense. 

The Big Diesel was the main man when the Los Angeles Lakers made the three-peat from 2000 to 2002. And O’Neal winning the Finals MVP award on all three occasions is the evidence. The duo of Kobe Bryant and Shaq were unable to win any more titles amid their infamous feuds.

Then O’Neal signed with the Miami Heat in 2004 and averaged 22.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in his first season. He then won a championship with Dwyane Wade and the Heat in 2006. After spending close to two seasons with the Suns, he spent a year each for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics before retiring in 2011.
