Spider-man: Across the Spider-Verse stormed the box office and garnered critical acclaim across the globe. The film not only caters to the kids, but it has also established a cult following among the older generations. Interestingly, it even tingled the spider-sense of Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade. The 3x NBA champion drew a parallel between the movie and an iconic LeBron James memory from Heat history.

Apart from drawing a parallel, a report suggested that King James and Wade had a direct connection to a scene in the film. It’s a usual sight in superhero films to find various Easter eggs hidden for fans to decode after the film’s release. Similarly, this particular Easter egg left the hoops community on its toes.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are one of the most dominant duos in NBA history. The duo clinched two championships together during James’ 4-season stint in Miami. Above all, a scene from ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ left the NBA fans in shock as the central characters replicate the iconic boxing handshake. In addition to it, Wade recognized the similarity and shared a video clip on his IG story featuring the parallels. Furthermore, a recent report revealed that the film’s producer, Phil Lord, confirmed the film’s inspiration from the duo’s iconic handshake.
