Curry, however, like the rest of us, still has to deal with his family, no matter how famous he has become. Number 30 sat with Graham Bensinger and talked about his strict but loving upbringing. The host then asked him to recount how his refusal to do the dishes led him to miss his first middle school game.

“That was not fun,” Steph said. “Imagine going to the middle school basketball team locker room and say, ‘Hey fellas, I’m not going to be playing today because I did not do my chores last night…I didn’t do the dishes, so, good luck to you guys, I’ll see you next game.’ That’s basically what I had to say,” he added.

“So yeah, I missed my first middle school game for not taking care of my business. That was how the Curry household was run…if you don’t take care of your business at home, which you’re supposed to, basketball is a privilege and it can be taken away,” he concluded.

She said, “We only work as a family if everybody does their part. It’s not my job to do everything for everybody. You had to train them to make them understand and so if one thing didn’t work at home, it affected all the other things outside.”
