NBA superstar Stephen Curry might not be playing at the moment but he is proving to be crucial even from the sidelines. The Golden State Warriors were already struggling to maintain their spot in the race to the playoffs when it was announced that Steph would be taking time off from the court due to injury. Curry sustained a left shoulder injury during the game against the Indiana Pacers on December 14, 2022. Shortly after the game, it was announced that SC30 would be in rehab for a few weeks, adding more issues to the Warriors’ already full plate. However, it seems like the Baby-Faced Assassin is not prepared to leave his teammates on their own.

Curry will not be donning the Warriors jersey for a little longer but he is making sure to attend his team’s games, supporting and hyping them up from the sidelines. While Steph might not be playing alongside his teammates, his leadership qualities has not gone unnoticed by fans.

NBA fans praise ‘coach’ Stephen Curry

The Golden State Warriors, who are currently positioned ninth in Western Conference, faced the Atlanta Hawks on January 2. Evidently, Stephen Curry had attended the game to observe and support his teammates. During the halftime interval, the four-time NBA champion was seen conversing with fellow Warriors star Anthony Lamb. Steph could be seen making a few gestures that indicated that the 8x NBA All-Star was giving some tips to Lamb to help him out in the game.

A short clip of the brief exchange soon began making rounds on Twitter and fans couldn’t top praising Curry for his involvement in the team. While some called him the future Warriors coach, others commended him for being the ‘best teammate’ one could expect. Below are a few of the comments.

It has been well over two weeks since Curry’s shoulder injury and the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr finally has some positive news. In a podcast episode of Damon and Ratto, Kerr indicated that things were going well.

He’s been doing a lot of stuff on the court. So, he’s getting a lot of good work in, he’s really coming along well, and everything is progressing,” he said.

Warriors vs Hawks

The Golden State Warriors won their 20th game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night at their home arena. The Warriors, 20-18, defeated the Hawks by 143-141. Klay Thompson led the team scoring 54 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Warriors point guard Jordan Poole added 28 points, six rebounds, and five assists and Kevon Looney scored 14 points, 20 rebounds, and four assists. On the other hand, Hawks point guard Trae Young scored 30 points, seven rebounds, and 14 assists in the losing game. His teammates Dejounte Murray and John Collins both tallied 25 points each. Meanwhile, Bogdan Bogdanovic added 21 points three rebounds, and three assists.
