The Minnesota Timberwolves have raised to the 8th seed after a rough start to the season. Timberwolves’ 21-year-old guard Anthony Edwards is having an amazing season so far, leading the team from the front. His performance against the Houston Rockets recently has caught the attention of NBA fans. The 6’4″ guard is being appreciated for taking on the scoring responsibility from such a young age. 

Surprisingly, Edwards not only put on a show for his fans but also for someone very special to him. He dropped a season-high 44 points, along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists, slicing past the Houston Rockets. Furthermore, fans’ reactions to his interview after the game with the reporter Katie Emmer Storm on Twitter have gone viral. 

Anthony Edwards drops season-high for his girlfriend

The Timberwolves fans are absolutely loving the performances of ‘Ant’ Edwards this season. When asked about his performance in the post-game interview, the guard said, “My girlfriend’s birthday is in two days and she is going out of the country, so I had to put on a show for her.”, along with a gesture towards his girlfriend.

Edwards did not forget to appreciate his teammate Nathan Knight for his crucial 19-point game yesterday. The guard added, “I think Nathan and I did a great job bringing the energy to the game as soon as we checked in. We appreciate him for sure.”. The Timberwolves currently have a 24-24 record, bouncing back from a poor start. In addition, the team is 7-3 in their last 10 games. 

Edwards dunks over Alperen Sengun twice in the same game

In addition to his 44-point performance, a video of Anthony Edwards dunking twice on Rockets center Alperen Sengun has also gone viral. Fans were shocked to witness the crazy bounce of the 6’4″ guard. In his third year with the Timberwolves, Edwards is averaging 24.1 points, 6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. This is not the first time the star is being appreciated for his performance.
