In order for the Dallas Mavericks to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since winning the championship in 2011, they needed to win their seven-game series against the Golden State Warriors. Although they lost the series to the eventual champions, there was one player who excelled for the team during their time in the Western Conference Finals, and that was Luka Doncic. 

There were still doubts in the eyes of fans regarding his ability to win the championship and whether he was a first-round pick. Nevertheless, he garnered quite a bit of attention in that area after his match against the Phoenix Suns. 

There was also some doubt about his weight because of what fans had seen from him in a few games. His weight caused some people to think that his performance was slowing down. Nevertheless, it appears he is handling everything on his own this time. 

As Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban pointed out, he has been unstoppable since he concentrated on his fitness and learned from criticism. In his statement, he mentioned said:  “He knows what he needs to do, and it finally clicked that if he’s going to be the best – and I know he wants to be the best – there’s certain things he has to control.”

Cuban added: “Once he got a handle on those things, it’s just been ‘Katie, bar the door’. He’s just been unstoppable.” 

With his preparations for the upcoming season, Luka Doncic is all set

Additionally, he has been rated as the best by numerous media outlets and experts. This is even higher than Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who won his first Finals MVP award last season. In preparation for the upcoming championship, Doncic is doing everything he can to improve. 

There are some pictures of him trending on social media and it seems like he has worked on his weight. We don’t know what may happen next season, but a fitter and perhaps more athletic Luke Doncic will undoubtedly leave other teams very concerned. According to recent reports, even bookmakers have given Doncic the best odds of winning the MVP award next season.
