Despite not having the best end to his season, it looks like Antetokounmpo has made it a habit to break the history books. ‘King James’ and MJ made the first team 13 and 1o times respectively, but they were never unanimous selections in four consecutive years.

However, him being the only unanimous pick came as a huge surprise. Similar to his seasons through the last few years, Giannis was once again a candidate to win his third MVP award. However, the Greek Freak came in third to Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic.

Surprisingly, Jokic wasn’t even a unanimous pick in the All-NBA first team this season. So how is the MVP of the league getting challenged but Giannis isn’t? It all comes down to the positions they play.

Looking from a standpoint of versatility, Antetokounmpo can play the role of a big man. However, in his true nature, he is considered a power forward. Despite his heavy hot blocking and unstoppable inside play, he is a forward in all his glory.

On the other hand, Jokic and Embiid are both modern-day centers and hence were in a battle for the spot once again. This is the reason Antetokounmpo became a unanimous pick. However, he deserved all that he got as Giannis gears in to come back stronger and better next season. Do you think the Greek Freak will win another title in his career with the Bucks?
