The NFL playoffs are in full swing and it seems like everyone including NBA superstar LeBron James is glued to their TV screens. Following the recent game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants, ‘King James’ couldn’t help but put up an appreciation post for a particular Giants RB on social media. Interestingly, it was not just the splendid performance put up by the NFL star that impressed the Los Angeles Lakers great, but also his outfit choice.

The New York Giants defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night at the U.S. Bank Stadium. The Giants scored 31 against the Vikings’ 24 in the Wild Card round. Following their win, the Giants will be facing the Philadelphia Eagles next on January 21.

LeBron James praises Giants star

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley put up a terrific show for Giants fans. With 109 yards and two touchdowns, Barkley helped the Giants grab victory over the Vikings. Following the win, James took to his Twitter and retweeted stills of Barkley from the game with a caption that read, “That boy so COLD!!!.”

As if one appreciation post was not enough, the four-time NBA champion?uploaded yet another image of Barkley on his Instagram handle with a similar caption. However, it may seem like Barkley’s performance was not the only thing that impressed the 18-time All-Star.

The 25-year-old NFL star wore the Zoom Generation cleats that were inspired by James’ first-ever signature Nike shoes.

Nike launched their first ‘King James’ signature shoes in 2003

Following his draft pick in 2003, LeBron James entered a contract with the billion-dollar brand. The same year, Nike launched LeBron’s first signature shoes named Air Zoom Generation. The shoes were designed according to the 18x NBA All-Star’s comfort, keeping his large physique in mind. It boasted an external heel counter to help support James during transitions and featured a ventilation window.?One of the materials used in making the shoes was molded mesh.

James wore the shoes during the Cleveland Cavaliers vs Denver Nuggets game on November 5, 2003. The Nuggets defeated the Cavs by 93-89 resulting in the latter’s fourth consecutive loss.
