The New York Knicks made multiple arguably questionable decisions at the 2022 NBA Draft. They started the day with the 11th pick in the draft and ended up drafting nobody just to create extra cap space. This was all done in hopes of signing a talented playmaker in the free agency. While it can turn out to be a good decision, the players they have been linked with don’t inspire Knicks fans.

Jalen Brunson of the Dallas Mavericks is their number one option in the free agency market. He had an excellent season in which he averaged 16.3 points and 4.8 assists. His stock rose even higher in the playoffs when he took over against the Utah Jazz in the absence of franchise superstar, Luka Doncic.

New York Knicks fans have faced years of obscurity due to many head-scratching decisions by the people in charge. They have been stuck in the middle of the Eastern Conference for a long time now and fans were hoping that would change with the draft.

But, as usual, after more controversial decisions the Knicks fans went berserk. Some of the top comments on reports that the Knicks will make a run at Jalen Brunson were:

That?s why the knicks r the Knicks

“What the f**k I?m glad I?m not a Knicks fan”

“Classic Knicks move”

“he balled out but that?s a lot”

“The knicks never learn their lesson do they”

“Robbery lol he not even gon be like that but hey get yo bread Jalen lol”

“I swear I hate my team… I’m only laughin to stop from crying”

The New York Knicks are not getting better

The New York Knicks have only had four winning seasons since the turn of the century. They have made countless terrible decisions. While the idea of teaming up Brunson with RJ Barrett and Julius Randle is decent, it probably doesn’t strike fear into anyone’s eyes.

The Knicks won’t likely be favored to go a long way in the playoffs, let alone qualify for the playoffs in an increasingly tough Eastern Conference. The Knicks had a good opportunity to draft a good player with the 11th pick or move up in the draft. Eventually, nothing came of it, and fans were left disappointed yet again.
