Before the superstars take center stage on the big day, let us see where the experienced golfers stand against one another.

Standoff between Patrick Mahomes and Stephen Curry

35-YO Curry is the face of the NBA. Apart from his successful venture on the basketball court, he possesses quite a reputation as an amateur golfer.

The 4x NBA champion has a mind-boggling handicap of +1. The stat, as wild as it may seem to an avid golf fan, is better than arguably the greatest golfer on the face of the earth, Tiger Woods. Woods’ handicap as an amateur was +8 which is by no means an actual representation of his illustrious career. Regardless, on paper, the NBA superstar is miles ahead of the legend.

“Currently it’s +1, but the jury is out if I’m actually playing up to that. I had a really good summer though,” Curry had said about his statistics.

While Curry boasts an impressive record as an amateur, Mahomes is a strong competitor. The 2x Superbowl champion has impressed everyone with the improvements he has made to his game.

As of now, Mahomes holds a handicap of 7.7, which is pretty incredible considering he’s mastering two sports at once. In fact, a handicap below 10 for an amateur athlete is considered to be very good. So the incredible face-off coming up between two greats of their respective sport is going to be an absolute treat for fans.
