The Dallas Mavericks have finally been able to put the pieces together to string along a couple of good games to improve their season record. After going on a seven-game winning streak, the Boston Celtics were the one to hand the Mavericks their first loss of this new year and snap their winning streak. However, things would’ve gone much differently if Mavericks star player Luka Doncic were healthy enough to play.
Luka Doncic only played 31 minutes in the loss to the Celtics. And Boston made the most of Doncic missing time off the floor as they defeated Dallas 95-124. Yet Doncic still was the team’s leading scorer in the game with 23 points.

Doncic recently gave his take on having breathing issues while playing the Celtics. He said, “A little sick, probably. Just allergies, so I’ve been taking some medicine. I felt way better, especially today. Yesterday was a little worse.”
The Mavericks recently defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in their last matchup and are now set to play the Oklahoma City Thunder in back-to-back games. To that, Doncic said, “I’ve been playing with a sore ankle, so we’ll see.”

I'm watching #NBATNT. What's up with Luka Doncic? He's holding his chest, having a hard time breathing, and has a red face. Why is he still playing? Haven't we learned anything this week?
