The reason given as to what caused Green to punch Poole was a verbal disagreement between the two. And the Warriors are now expected to take action on Green.
Draymond Green and Jordan Poole’s controversy takes a new turn
There were several speculations made about the controversy. Some say that Poole was bragging about his new contract with the Warriors and his behavior was changed, which caused a rift between him and Green. Some say that there was a verbal disagreement and an argument broke between the two during the training session, which was later confirmed by the Warriors’ General Manager Bob Myers.
Fans were already furious after this incident. But before rage could settle down, a new chapter was added to the story. NBA Central posted a tweet about Green and Poole’s alleged verbal attack. The tweet said, “Draymond Green called Jordan Poole a ‘b***h’ multiple times before punching him, per TMZ.” The report states that the reason for this rift is Poole was bragging over his contract, who allegedly said, “You know what it is, Draymond”. And Green got in Poole’s face, allegedly saying, “No I don’t know, what is it?”

Green aggressively gets close, and Poole pushes him back, resulting in Green punching him. Furthermore, several teammates and staff rushed to separate the two.
