“Got Smoke for Everybody but MJ”: Twitter-Verse Calls Out Kwame Brown After “Pistol to My Throat” Allegation on 3X All-Star

Kwame Brown, the former no. 1 pick of the 2001 draft, was selected by the Washington Wizards. At the time, he was slotted to be a game-changer, becoming the 16th player from high school to be drafted directly into the league. But Brown’s resume, unfortunately, doesn’t go beyond that milestone. According to Fadeaway World, “Brown is remembered as one of the worst no. 1 overall picks in recent history, despite having a 12-year NBA career.” His recent allegations against a 3x All-Star didn’t stick well with NBA Twitter either.
One NBA fan wrote, “Got smoke for everybody but MJ“. Kwame Brown recently lashed out at his former Wizards, teammate, Gilbert Arenas.
What was Kwame Brown’s claim?

Both Gilbert Arenas and Kwame Brown, despite being teammates, apparently never saw eye-to-eye. In his recent appearance on ‘The Pivot’ podcast, Brown responded to Arenas’ comments about him. Kwame Brown said, “I don’t wanna talk about that guy, after he mentioned putting a pistol to my throat… He’s definitely what’s wrong with our community because he’s a coward… Do you think Gilbert Arenas would say that about J.J. Redick?”

NBA Twitter didn’t take much heed to his claims. Many of them seemed to shrug it off while one even suggested that Brown’s 15 minutes of rants are up. Several others pointed out that Kwame Brown was a “bust”.
Arenas also came under the scanner for saying other “unflattering and unprovoked comments”. Gilbert Arenas called him a “‘f***ing drunk’ and a locker room cancer“, and trolled him when the opportunity presented itself.
Brown claimed that he once bested Michael Jordan
During another interview, Kwame Brown revealed that he had beaten Michael Jordan once. He said, “It was fun. I beat him in one-on-one, too“. Apparently, their first conversation was Brown telling Jordan that he was “better” than the GOAT. This was followed by a one-on-one match.

However, another account tells the story very differently. In the 2004 book, ‘When Nothing Else Matters‘, it was Michael Jordan who supposedly “humiliated” Kwame Brown.
The excerpt read: “Early in the game, believing he had a lunging, jabbing Jordan off balance, the kid dared to say, ‘You reach, I’ll teach.’ Jordan snapped, ‘You teach, and I’ll knock you on your damn ass.’ He proceeded to humiliate Brown, mocking him while scoring at will, declining to help him up when the teenager fell hard to the floor, winning lopsidedly and, at the end, yelling at Brown to acknowledge his superiority in front of the team: ‘You better call me ‘Daddy,’ (expletive).’”
