Widely known as ‘The Jet’, Kenny Smith has his very own segment on Inside the NBA. Well, it isn’t really a segment but an open challenge associated with his speed. The iconic race to the backboard is a battle between the two-time NBA champion and anyone among the crew. Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal have used their cleverness in the past to get the better of Smith. However, his recent opponent was one the former Houston Rockets guard could never have guessed.
Inside the NBA is one of the most loved post-game shows in the sports world, thanks to the hosts’ shenanigans. This time, it involved a three-time Sixth Man of The Year winner and a little acting job from Barkley to overcome Kenny.

Kenny Smith falls for the Charles Barkley fake
Inside the Crew reported for the halftime show after an intense Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors battle. As usual, Kenny Smith went to the board to break down some plays. However, each time he had to guess just who will race him to the screen. His side-eye caught Barkley, who flew out of his chair.

Right at the moment, The Jet took off as well. It looked to be a convincing win, with just a couple of stairs left to climb. However, Smith didn’t know Charles Barkley had an accomplice waiting behind the screen. It had only been a day since the Phoenix Suns legend and Smith clashed on a Nikola Jokic comparison. So tonight it was time for revenge. And Barkley got with him a familiar face to beat the Rockets legend.
Inches away from the win, Jamal Crawford appeared from out of nowhere. The former Los Angeles Clippers guard seemed as smooth as his crossover. He intercepted Smith and touched the backboard to secure the win.

“That’s not fair! These guys man, come on. That’s not even right Jamal.” yelled Kenny Smith who had been bamboozled.
Now, just what was Jamal Crawford doing on Inside the NBA? In January, the crossover master joined ‘NBA On TNT’ besides Shaquille O’Neal, WNBA great Candace Parker, and Adam Lefkoe. As it is Tuesday, Crawford was right on schedule, and he came in with a huge surprise for the two-time champion.
“I got you, don’t worry about him,” he told the remained of the crew as he announced himself.
