The Grammy came to a glorious end on April 4th, 2022. At this grand event, there was a particular moment that caught everyone’s attention. It was rather a rare sight to see an artist miss out when they win an award and Doja Cat nearly did that. And NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has something to say about it and he asked her a rather uncomfortable question.

Cat nearly missed accepting her 2022 Grammy award, making it back just in time to receive the statue for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Kiss Me More”. This was because she was in the bathroom.

Her co-creator on the track, SZA, who was also on crutches was accepting the award when Cat walked up the stage. Cat later said that she never had taken a faster bathroom break in her life. And Shaq being Shaq had a question for her.

Shaq was on his podcast “The Big Podcast with Shaq” and one of his co-hosts talked about the Grammy. Apparently many artists were wearing complex costumes and had trouble going to the bathroom. Reportedly many had to take a long time inside and had to remove their entire costumes before going in.

One of them, Doja Cat, happened to go to the washroom at the wrong time. She made it back just about in time to accept her award.

One of Shaq’s co-hosts also attended the Grammy, but she did not have trouble with her outfit. And then Shaq who had a rather weird question, said, “She was in the bathroom and somebody told her she won an award. And she ran straight… Did she wash her hands”?

This was rather a weird question from Shaq and he probably will never get an answer to it. Artists will continue to struggle when they wear complex outfits but was a unique occasion as an artist won an award at the same time they were on a break.

They will need to be prepared to face questions from Shaq about their disappearance and hygiene.
