LeBron James has achieved yet another milestone in his illustrious career. The LA Lakers star has been performing at an MVP level the whole season, as evidenced by the performance in Washington. The Lakers forward in Saturday’s game was a treat for everyone who attended.

Because of his incredible point production against the Washington Wizards, he made NBA history. Through his outstanding performance, he passed Karl Malone to become the second-highest scorer of all time in the league. Audience reactions flooded social media shortly thereafter.

James also took a few minutes to share the audience’s and his friend’s reactions on his Instagram stories as they congratulated him on his success. He shared a few reactions in which people called him the GOAT, and it looked like he approved of it.

Whenever the talk about who the GOAT of basketball is, two names always shine the brightest. Michael Jordan and LeBron James, and James’ back-to-back performances gave the audience every reason to back him. Over the course of his 19 seasons in the NBA, Malone scored 36,909 points with the Utah Jazz and LA Lakers. The Mailman was recognized as one of the best power forwards in the game’s history.

With James surpassing him, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is now the only player ahead of him with 38,387 points. He needed 20 points to get past the great Karl Malone, and he did so in the first half itself.

This season, ‘King James’ has consistently given amazing performances. Even though the Los Angeles Lakers haven’t had a great season so far, LeBron has done everything in his power to hold the team together. As witnessed when the Lakers were without him against San Antonio Spurs, they had to figure out so many things.
