However, the defeat against the Bulls not only broke their winning streak but also knocked them down one spot in the conference rankings.

LeBron James faces Pat Bev’s on-court antics

It is no secret that Patrick Beverley was looking forward to the game against the Lakers ever since he was traded to the Bulls. When the big day arrived, Pat Bev made sure to make it a little entertaining for fans. Things got interesting when the 34-year-old star guard did the “too small” celebration after successfully making a jump hook shot over LeBron James. However, he didn’t stop there. Beverley also made sure to let the Lakers supporter Shannon Sharpe know that his favorite team stinks.?Beverley dropped 10 points, four rebounds, and five assists in the winning game.

Shortly after that, 2008 NBA champion Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to give Pat Bev his credit hours after the latter posted a sponsored picture on social media. Perkins retweeted the same photo with a caption that read,I can?t make this up I have to give Pat Bev his props. Not only did he talk a lot of sh*t but went into LA and got the W!!! Carry the hell on?”

NBA Twitter didn’t quite share the same views with Perkins

Twitterati was not too keen on agreeing with Kendrick Perkins when the latter uploaded the tweet on his social media handle. In fact, they were quick to point out that Beverley didn’t really have much of a hand in leading the Chicago Bulls to victory. One fan commented, He had the least to do with it seven points.” Whereas, another user pointed out, “He wasn’t the reason they won he only played 22 mins beating the Laker’s is like everyone Championship.” Take a look at a few more of the tweets.

Fans reminded Perkins that it was mostly Beverley’s teammates who secured the win and not just him alone.

Perkins didn’t go unscathed in the virtual attack either. Several fans mocked the former Boston Celtics star by posting embarrassing game videos of him.

Bulls guard Zach LaVine led the team to victory by dropping a game-high 32 points, two rebounds, and four assists. Additionally, DeMar DeRozan added 17 points, six rebounds, and 10 assists.
