Abdul-Jabbar explained that the movie was very predictable. When people speak highly about the special effects and all the techniques used, something went wrong, he noted. He added that the length of the movie was not justified as well. The two-time Finals MVP felt that the movie cared more about “wowing” the fans with visual effects, than actually telling an engaging story. He was not very happy about the blend and transitions of genres used as well.

The Lakers icon then gave a final blow when he compared the movie with the No.1 Netflix show Wednesday. He wrote, “The dialogue, the plot, and the characters are all woefully predictable. I had more of an emotional reaction to Thing being injured in Wednesday than to anyone in Avatar.”

The Wednesday recently became the third Netflix show to rack up a billion hours of views in a month.
