There is a popular saying ‘Legends never die’. One such person is NBA legend, Kobe Bryant. The ‘Mamba’ left a legacy that will always live on through the younger generation. His famous ‘Mamba Mentality’ keeps growing as it allows people to grab inspiration through his hard work.

Today marks Bryant’s 43rd birthday. Twitter celebrated one of the league’s best players ever with various posts. Notably, his team, the Los Angeles Lakers posted a thread of his best moments. Here is a look at how the Lakers honored Kobe Bryant on his birthday.

Lakers remember Kobe Bryant

Bryant spent his entire NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers. In his 20 years with the organization, he achieved almost everything there is to offer. He quickly became the heart and soul of Los Angeles, making him an international icon.

However, the journey was never easy; there were times when Bryant almost gave up on the Lakers. Notably, there were rumors about his trade to the Chicago Bulls in 2003. However, he stayed strong and went on to become synonymous with the Lakers.

Moreover, he became one of the most successful players with the franchise. Kobe Bryant won 5 championships with the Loa Angeles Lakers. He and Shaq remain to be the last pair of teammates to complete a three-peat. Bryant also won an MVP trophy.

The Mamba made the All-Star game a record 18 times in his career; moreover, he is also the youngest player to be a part of the All-Star game. Kobe was one of the best defensive guards in his time, making All-Defensive first team 9 times.

He won the All-Star MVP 4 times, scoring champion 2 times and 2 finals MVP as well. Hence, he is regarded as the greatest Laker of all time, and deserves the credit he gets.
