NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been one of the most vocal athletes ever in the world. Over the course of his career and after his retirement, Abdul-Jabbar has always stood up against social injustice. He has always used his massive platform to talk about racism and other issues around the country and the world. At 75, that has still not changed as he continues to use his platform to reach the masses about problems that still persist. The Los Angeles Lakers legend recently slammed a potential Presidential candidate.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar slams Ron DeSantis
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar recently commented on the Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis who is a potential Presidential candidate. The six-time champion claimed DeSantis has increased his “attack” on all marginalized people. Abdul-Jabbar wrote on his KareemSubstack, “As he gets closer to announcing his candidacy for the presidency, Ron DeSantis has been amping up his attacks on all marginalized people in order to appeal to voters who don’t like marginalized people.”

He continued, “He spends millions of dollars of Florida’s money getting publicity, and rallies a coalition of irrational, racist misogynists who seem to hate the America envisioned by our Founders.”
