After an intense battle with the Iowa Hawkeyes, the LSU Tigers became the 2023 NCAA champions. Tigers’ forward, Angel Reese has been at the center of criticism for her on-court taunts in the Final toward Iowa star, Caitlin Clark. Many also called her out on social media. And now, Reese’s comments regarding her trip to the White House are the latest to be added to her slander by fans.

First Lady Jill Biden had recently made a statement wherein she wanted to invite the runners-up, Iowa Hawkeyes to the White House as well. Biden’s decision to do so was because of sportsmanship and their performances throughout March Madness. However, Reese wasn’t too pleased with this development.

LSU forward Angel Reese made an appearance on the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast recently where she stated that her team would rather visit former first lady, Michelle Obama. Clearly not a fan of Jill Biden’s invitation for the Hawkeyes, Reese and the rest of her teammates were adamant about not visiting the White House. However, that has now changed.

While talking to the hosts, Reese said, “You felt like they should’ve came because of sportsmanship, right? They can have that spotlight. We’ll go to the Obamas, we’ll see Michelle, we’ll see Barack.”

The 20-year-old forward will have to swallow her pride and meet the Bidens after claiming she’d rather meet the former President’s family.
