The media’s rightfully crowned king of controversy, Andrew Tate has been making the headlines for over a year, but for all the wrong reasons. However, before his recent controversy against Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, the former kickboxing star, like always, gave a polarizing sports take that may have upset an entire sports fanbase, including fans of LeBron James and Stephen Curry

Tate recently appeared on the popular YouTube vlogger Mo Vlogs’ channel when he visited Dubai. He sat down for a podcast episode on the channel. When asked about his choice between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the dean of Hustlers University also dragged the NBA in his answer.

After addressing his limited experience watching soccer and the World Cup, when asked whether he watched basketball, Tate replied, “No, I don’t want to.” Similarly, in a past interview with streamer Adin Ross, when asked about LeBron James and basketball, Tate said, “Basketball is Bulls**it…nah, it’s g*y, basketball is g*y, I don’t know, it’s just put the ball in the net; I mean, where’s the fun in that?”

When Adin Ross pressured him on whether he watches LeBron James, Tate straightaway dismissed the prospect of watching not only King James, but any basketball action. Apart from offending fans, the former kickboxing star’s divisive take on basketball would not please hoopers, who put their heart and soul in the game. Tate not only expressed his dislike for basketball, but tried to undermine the sport itself in its entirety.

Amid Controversy, ‘The Matrix’ Surfaces Video of Andrew Tate Kissing The Canvas

Apart from offending millions of sports fans worldwide, the $360 Million social media personality also gave his polarizing takes on various outlandish topics like the Illuminati, the ‘Matrix’, Crypto scams, Jake Paul, the Balenciaga controversy, and more on the podcast.

However, his recent controversy with Swedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg has cost him dearly.

Andrew Tate arrested in Romania

Last week, Tate engaged in a high-profile Twitter spat with Swedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg. After a series of controversial tweets and responses from both sides, Tate responded with a video. He posted a video of himself in a Versace robe, smoking a cigar, while an off-camera person handed him two boxes of Jerry’s Pizza, a popular Romanian chain.
