The dominant figure was always a threat to the opposition. Stopping Shaq from playing the way he wanted was a difficult task for the opposing teams. However, he did have his weaknesses in free throws and three-pointers. But safe to say, he made up for them in the way he used to drive towards the rim.

Shaq was dominant on and off the court. He was always influential in boosting his team, pushing them to do better. Shaq believes that in every successful team and group of athletes, there have to be some differences, so that resolving them and working for each other makes the team even stronger from within. He explained this in a segment of his podcast.

Shaq is someone who knows the value of team building and opening up to one another. Shaq confessed, “Every team I have been on I had to smack somebody.” He added, “When you run a ship, the ship ain’t always gonna be on calm water. Every now and then you gotta go through hurricane water, tornado water, shallow water to get to your final destination.”

Shaq, who also has been in the WWE, knows that it is not necessary to always be polite with one another. While playing a sport, if some of the arguments make you closer to your teammates, then it is good for the success of the team. During The Big Podcast with Shaq, Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams made the point of it being behind closed doors.
