NBA legend Scottie Pippen is widely regarded as one of the greatest players ever. His time alongside Michael Jordan at the Chicago Bulls was more than legendary. However, his relationship with the team and Jordan turned sour over time.
Pippen was heavily underpaid while playing with the Bulls. Despite being one of the best players, he ranked nowhere near the top players when it came to salary. This caused a whole lot of debates and tension within the team. Talking about the issue in his memoir, Pippen recalled how one of his teammates once cried in front of him.

Scottie Pippen revealed his former teammate broke down in front of him
Scottie Pippen‘s memoir, ‘Unguarded’ made headlines around the world last year. Pippen called out NBA legend and former teammate Michael Jordan on multiple occasions in the book. He accused MJ of stealing the spotlight from him and the team.
In the same book, he touched upon some shortcomings with the team and some of his teammates. John Paxson, who played with the Bulls for 9 seasons once broke down in front of Pippen.

Talking about it in his book, Pippen revealed that Paxson was remorseful for the bad relationship between the Chicago Bulls and one of its top players. For this reason, he began to cry.
Pippen wrote, “He began to cry. Not knowing how to respond, I waited for him to stop. Why he was crying, I couldn’t be sure, and honestly, I didn’t care. Before long, our chat was, mercifully, over.” Paxson was instrumental in guiding the Bulls to their first three-peat in 1993.

Michael Jordan and Pippen formed one of the greatest duos ever on the court. However, they had a troubled relationship off the court. Their problems were more than evident with the release of Pippen’s memoir, ‘Unguarded’.
In the book, Pippen talked about how he will never get out of MJ’s shadow. Moreover, he also asserted that Jordan would never have reached the heights without his help. This caused a rift between two of the greatest basketball players ever.
