Injuries are the worst thing that can happen to any athlete. Being injured and sitting out instead when you could go and play with your teammates is the last thing that a player wishes for. But, when they happen, all that the fans and the player thinks about is the comeback.

Well, the time for the same has come for Zion Williamson. Zion has been injured for a while now. Missing the season last year, Zion must be excited to come back this season. At least, his fans definitely are.

Zion Williamson will play in the season opener

Reports came that Zion Williamson would hit the court once again after the long exile caused by injury. The 284 lbs forward will be seen in the opening night against Brooklyn Nets on October 19th.

He will be coming back to playing full games after a long year of receiving dull and harsh updates about the injury. Last year, towards the end of the season, Zion was also cleared to practice at full capacity for a while before he was called back. NBA analysts had always worried about the weight and other factors that could affect Zion’s performance and cause injury problems.

Upon the update of Zion Williamson’s return, the Twitter fans of the big guy rejoiced. A fan, frustrated with the wait to see Zion play, said “He Better Play, He Missed a Whole *SS Season”.

Some waited for the ‘Dynamic Duo’ to return, and some complimented him by comparing him to Ja.

A fan even showed so much confidence in Zion that he said “He gonna violate KD”

One fan was just excited to know that Zion will be hitting the NBA court once again and knew its value.

Watching closely his recovery throughout the season last year, the anticipation around his return is unprecedented. Zion was the first pick in the 2019 draft, being picked over other big names like Ja Morant, RJ Barrett, and many others. He sustained an injury during the off-season practice before the last season’s summer league. Coming back after so long surely means a huge thing for him and the franchise both.
