

The Oklahoma City Thunder own an impressive 38 picks for the next draft years. They have 19 first and 19 second-round picks, which is undoubtedly going to prove quite an asset for the franchise. But it looks like the OKC Thunder are headed for a tank season as two of its star players were injured within a short period of time.

The team won a total of just 46 games in the previous two seasons. But fans were expecting a great season after they selected the number two overall draft pick in Chet Holmgren. Unfortunately, the OKC Thunder announced that Holmgren will miss the entire 2022-2023 season due to injury.

The Thunder rookie had reportedly suffered a Lisfranc injury and had to undergo surgery on August 30. Holmgren had reportedly attained the injury during the Crawsover Pro-Am while guarding NBA star LeBron James. With one player down, Thunder fans started speculating the chances of their team winning.

However, it seems like the OKC is already headed toward a disappointing season. The Athletic’s Shams Charania recently took to Twitter to announce that yet again, another OKC player has been injured.

After Chet Holmgren, another OKC player gets injured
Charania informed fans that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will miss the start of training camp. The OKC star reportedly has a Grade 2 left MCL sprain and will not be present in training camp. Additionally, the Thunder informed that SGA will be re-examined in two weeks. It will certainly be a loss for the team, as the millionaire star guard has shown impressive performances over the last three seasons.
