With Jordan Poole, it is allegedly the latter, as the Golden State Warriors traded the young guard to the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul. Poole was one of the major reasons behind the Warriors’ title run in 2022. His heroic performances in crucial junctions of the playoffs helped the team massively. However, the 24-year-old struggled to emulate that during the 2022-23 playoffs as the reigning champions were eliminated by the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors had a shocking start to their championship defense because of the altercation between Jordan Poole and Draymond Green. It became a huge controversy after the video clip got leaked. Even though the franchise handled the situation internally, it still affected the team on and off the court. Notably, Draymond Green claimed the Warriors would not have been eliminated if it was not for the altercation.

Also, head coach Steve Kerr admitted the issue affected the team’s culture. The franchise will finally look to move on from the incident after trading away Poole.
