After successfully overtaking NBA superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the All-Time NBA scoring leader, the Los Angeles Lakers forward has set his eyes on another record. Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James are tied for making the most appearances in the NBA All-Star game. James makes his 19th All-Star today at the Salt Lake City. However, fans have their eyes on another record the 4x Champion holds.

James has been selected as the captain of an All-Star team for the sixth straight this season. Moreover, the 4x MVP has a winning record of 5-0 in the last five All-Star games. Though James will be looking to make it 6-0, fans hint at their expectation for a new winner this All-Star weekend.

Fans don’t have high hopes for the King as LeBron will face Giannis for the All-Star game

Along with LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo was selected as the captain of the Eastern Conference this season, for the third time in his career. Though James seems to have stacked starters for the game today, fans believe James cannot pull it off again for the sixth time. The 6’9 forward chose Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic for the position of guards, reuniting with former Cavs teammate. Moreover, James chose Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic, two MVP candidates in the top 3 race to add height to the team.

However, fans believe Giannis can pull it off this time with comparatively a young team. Antetokounmpo chose Ja Morant, Donovan Mitchell, Lauri Markkanen and Jayson Tatum as his teams’ starters.
