Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Co. receive new gifts on the ‘Inside’ set

The ‘Inside the NBA’ crew did it again. The hosts received a new gift during Ernie’s segment Neat-o-Stat of the Night segment. The fellas received customized hats with their photos and names stitched on them. Meanwhile, Shaq’s hat had a ‘Shrek’ image on it. Even though that joke is as old as time now, it still makes everyone laugh.

But that’s not the joke that had everyone laughing out of their minds. The four were trying on their hats when Ernie asked Chuck whether he wears hats or not, since “headgear a lot of times doesn’t look great on [him]”.

An offended Chuck was then shown a slideshow filled with pictures of him in weirdly fitted helmets and hats. But Barkley took it in stride and laughed along when Shaq teased him for having a big head, ” He got a big a** head”, to which Ernie also agreed and called it “a big nogging”

While everyone was in a fit of laughter at those comments, Ernie Johnson got another gift out for Charles Barkley.

Chuck falls for it again!

Ernie pulls out another hat that is ‘fitter’ for Barkley’s ‘nogging’ and gives it to Chuck who is still recovering from the helmet slideshow. The former player trying on the huge hat causes another round of laughter to erupt in the studio.

If this was not enough, EJ had Charles try the hat with a liner to make it a perfect fit. The Jet finally pitched in and called out Chuck for looking like the Cosby kids. And Ernie emphasized that this hat even addresses Charles’ concerns for getting tanned in the sun.

Ernie said it would offer him ‘protection’ if the Chuckster wore it outside and it was hailing, but before Charles could even process the remark, a boatload of ping pong balls fell upon Barkley, sending everyone into splits again. The funniest part was the hat being knocked down again by the falling balls.

Not only the studio crew but the fans are also enjoying the display. Here is how some of the fans are reacting to the clip:

Chuck falls for it everytime

Production staff deserves a Emmy e every year”

“Shaq still salty about getting called Shrek 😂”

They did Chuck dirty with the baseball helmet pic

“The ping pong ball budget on this show is unlimited”

“Chuck looked like Darth Vader in that big ‘o hat….may the force be with your big noggin’.”
