The Los Angeles Lakers’ lackluster season is no secret. But the fans in LA have shown no lack of support throughout their 2022-23 campaign. If the Lakers could push up their performances for the later part of the season, the fans’ support would be the cherry on the cake. The NFL icon, Shannon Sharpe, who is also a longtime LeBron James and Lakers fan got carried away at the Crypto.com arena in an attempt to support his team. In fact, he got into an altercation with the father of Ja Morant, Tee Morant, regarding which Sharpe had a lot to say later on.

The NFL icon is surely going to discuss the incident during his discussion of the Lakers’ strong win against the Memphis Grizzlies on his FS1 show UNDISPUTED. But for now, Sharpe said his piece while speaking to Dave McMenamin.

The NFL icon’s heated argument with Ja Morant’s father, Tee Morant was seen live and captured on a lot of cellphones. With various versions available on Twitter and social media, Sharpe decided to clear it out after the match. While speaking to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Sharpe addressed what happened during the game. The Lakers’ win in the last 10 seconds was probably the reason for his excitement during his statement.

It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. He said, ‘F—‘ me.” said Sharpe. The NFL icon further added, ” I said, ‘F—‘ you back. He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.’ And then Ja came out of nowhere talking. He definitely didn’t want these problems. Then the dad came and he obviously didn’t want no problems. But I wanted anything they had. Don’t let these fools fool you now.”

Although Tee Morant and Sharpe hugged it out after the third quarter, for some time it was quite the commotion.

Additionally, Sharpe would be content, in hindsight, since the purple and gold pulled a rabbit out of their hat to end the Memphis Grizzlies’ 11-game winning streak.

Not even the Lakers fans themselves would’ve expected the LA side to beat the in-form Grizzlies. The Purple and Gold’s poor season is no secret. However, the winning points scored by Dennis Schröder would give them a lot of confidence.
