Probably the most known instance of Shaq’s careless expenditure was when he spent $1 million from his first endorsement deal. The recent episode of the Shaq podcast was all about the bling. While podcast co-host Anthony Adams was absent from the episode, his spot was filled up by former NBA star, Jamal Crawford who made a million-dollar revelation regarding Shaq.

Shaquille O’Neal makes a million-dollar purchase

In the latest episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, co-host Nischelle Turner, and former Los Angeles Clippers star Jamal Crawford seemingly had a great laugh talking about NBA analyst Kenny Smith. The 4x NBA champion had pointed out that Smith got a fake hairline tattoo and speculated if he should get one as well.

While the Lakers legend was seemingly joking about getting one. Watching Shaq’s jolly behavior, Turner asked Crawford what he had done to Shaq for him to be in such a mood. Crawford simply replied, “Nischelle this is you. Your bling bling turned him to the summer when he spent almost? $1000000 on his jewelry, you turned him up.” Turner, who was seemingly wearing expensive jewelry, ended up laughing harder after Crawford stated that she was the reason Shaq had spent so much on jewelry.

It is no secret that Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has had quite a rough childhood. However, Shaq’s mother and stepfather were always there to guide him through it all. Therefore, when his parents asked him for something, Shaq did not hesitate and went all out.

The 15x NBA All-Star had just received his first million-dollar paycheck from an endorsement deal back in 1992. Therefore, an excited Shaq went to a Mercedes showroom and bought a $150,000 worth car.?When his parents individually asked for a similar car, the Lakers legend immediately went off and bought two cars worth $150,000 and $100,000.

However, back then, the 20-year-old newly drafted NBA star was not aware of the tax payments and his agent’s cut. The technicalities hit him like a truck and fortunately, it prevented him from making the same mistake again.
