The Minnesota Timberwolves clutched their performance in the Play-In tournament to advance to the playoffs. Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell stepped up to lead the Wolves to victory over the Clippers. Not only that, the Wolves took game 1 of the first round against the 2nd seed, the Grizzlies.

The Wolves have been showing up in this postseason, and the key player behind this is none other than Anthony Edwards. Most teams perform exceptionally well during the regular season, though when it comes to the postseason, the same team loses its momentum.

Wolves, on the other hand, had a decent regular-season record, but their current performance has surprised everyone.

Michael Jordan praises Anthony Edwards

In an interview with Taylor Rooks, Edwards described his conversation with Michael Jordan. Anthony has averaged 21 points and 4 rebounds this season. His exceptional athletic ability had Jordan amazed.

“He was like, you’re stronger than I am, you’re more athletic, you’re bigger than me.“, described Edwards. To get such praise from one of the GOATs had to be the best experience for the 20-year-old. But this advice didn’t really seem to convince the fans on Twitter. Some believed that he might end up in Charlotte, though that did not happen. Other fans thought Jordan wasn’t serious at all.

The Wolves have taken home-court advantage in game 1, ending the game with a double-digit lead. If they manage to do the same in game 2, the Grizzlies will be in serious trouble.
