Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman has quite a flamboyant personality. Be it his various hair colors, his off-the-court parties, or his bold and unusual dressing style. Rodman has made headlines for both his on-court plays and his activities when he?s not on the floor. One of the most recent things that has Rodman back in the news again is the movie about his infamous trip to Las Vegas titled, ‘48 Hours In Vegas’.

Rodman is a five-time NBA champion. He won two championships with the Detroit Pistons and then went on to win three more championships with the Chicago Bulls. He had a stellar career in the NBA and has played with big names too. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Isiah Thomas, and Joe Dumars to name a few.

But for those who do not know, Rodman was once a part of one of the most historic photoshoots to ever take place. Rodman became the first man and the first sports star to pose for PETA?s ‘I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur’ ad campaign.

‘The Worm’ ran into the vice-president of PETA, Dan Mathews in a nightclub in Miami. The two got into a conversation where Rodman mentioned the Dennis Rodman Foundation which helps the homeless. And then Mathews went on to tell him about PETA?s program that donates thousands of cast-off fur coats to the homeless.

Mathews told sources, ?He said that furriers have pushed free furs on him over the years, and he?s always refused. He said that he was always embarrassed when an ex-wife wore furs,? referring to Dennis Rodman.

In the PETA ad campaign, Rodman posed nude, along with his many tattoos, with a caption: ‘Think Ink Not Mink’. Dennis Rodman became the first man and first sports star to pose for the ‘I?d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur’ ad campaign. Other notable names that have appeared in the series are Kim Basinger, Pamela Anderson, and Christy Turlington.?

Rodman and his eccentric life

Dennis Rodman has always had an eccentric persona. Apart from his brilliant NBA career, the Chicago Bulls legend has had controversy surrounding him most of the time. Rodman had a tough childhood growing up, which he has talked about extensively in interviews.?
