

There have been many infamous rivalries between NBA players since its inception. From Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird to Lebron James and Patrick Beverly. But can the rivalry turn to friendship or an equation filled with utmost respect and admiration? As it turns out, the answer is yes.
Patrick Beverly couldn’t stop heaping praises on the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron James. “He would go down as a superhero“, said Beverly in a recent podcast. The former Los Angeles Clippers player, Beverly was acquired by the Lakers this season from Utah Jazz.

Beverly nodded his head in agreement when the interviewer also noted James’ iconic place in the game of basketball. The new addition to the Lakers team observed that LeBron James gave advice when needed. James’ personality was open and funny. He also mentioned that James follows a similar ethos as him.

With the new environment and an inspiring player like LeBron James, Beverly seemed to be in a good place. He chuckled and made his case more succinct, when he pointed out that James had won a championship every team he was a part of. That speaks volumes about LeBron James, as a sports legend. But that also speaks volumes about how two people can set aside their differences or their history and admire their accomplishments.
LeBron James is respected by his fans and his opponents alike
Beverly also shared that James had a terrific basketball IQ. Earlier this year, he revealed that James was like a big brother to him from the start of his career. The knowledge that he acquired from his brother paved way for his own longevity.

LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the best players in the NBA. His energy and force on the court became more ferocious as the years went by. He has also evolved and adapted to the changing times and the changing league.
It would be an honor for anyone to play with or against James. He is a walking-talking-doing encyclopedia of basketball. In such a climate, one can only benefit from it.
