The Los Angeles Lakers advanced to the Western Conference Finals after defeating the Golden State Warriors in thumping fashion in Game 6, clinching the series 4-2. Amidst all the chaos for Stephen Curry and the Warriors, the management will need to revamp their roster for the 2023–24 season as they enter the offseason. The future of several key members of the Warriors remains uncertain, as the team looks to regroup after their second-round Playoffs exit. However, one Warriors star’s future is not in doubt.
The Warriors have been a tight-knit group for the better part of a decade. Making deep runs in the postseason consistently has helped maintain the core of the team. The Warriors remain intent on continuing with their major pieces, but one thing certainly won’t be the same from next season.

Andre Iguodala has been a key piece for the Warriors ever since the beginning of their dynasty. He cemented his place in Golden State folklore after he won the Finals MVP after the franchise’s first championship in 40 years back in 2015. He was instrumental in the next two championships as well. However, father time has seemingly arrived for the 39-year-old and he is widely expected to retire.
Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins recently revealed his admiration for his teammate for his impressive basketball career. Wiggins praised Iguodala’s contributions to the sport and expressed hope that he would continue to be involved in basketball in some capacity. Wiggins also acknowledged that Iguodala has earned the right to pursue whatever interests he desires outside of the game, given his accomplished career.
