NBA superstar Stephen Curry has just led the Golden State Warriors to their fourth title in eight years. In the finals, the Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics 4-2 to win the title. Throughout the playoffs, Curry displayed his abilities to the world. And he continued his good form into the finals as well. This brought the much elusive Finals MVP award for the sharpshooter. Even though Curry has been the star for the Warriors for their previous 3 title runs, he was not able to win a Finals MVP award.

However, he shockingly lost the Finals MVP award to teammate Andre Iguodala. Then in the next year, the Warriors lost out to the Cavs in the Finals after a record-breaking regular season. So the already star-studded Warriors further strengthened themselves by adding superstar Kevin Durant to their ranks. And Durant shouldered the offensive burden with Curry and Klay Thompson. The Warriors and Cavs faced off in the next 2 Finals where the Dubs comfortably won. And KD won the Finals MVP award on both occasions.

Some questioned Curry’s ability to lead the team to the title since she did not win. However, he has proved to the world and himself that he can be the main man of the team with his performances in the finals last season. And he won his first ever Finals MVP award in the process.
