The Dallas Mavericks have one of the biggest young superstars in Luka Doncic. Given how impressive of a star the Slovenian prodigy has been for the Mavericks, the team is set to become a Western Conference juggernaut for years to come.

In the three seasons, Doncic has played in the league, the 22-year-old has averaged monstrous 27.7 points, 8.0 assists, and 8.8 rebounds per game so far. These numbers are certainly superstar caliber numbers and certainly suggest that the Slovenian is a generational talent.

Jamal Crawford speaks about what makes Luka Doncic special

While Doncic continues to put up big numbers, the NBA players and fans certainly have been aware of how special of a talent he is. Jamal Crawford is no different. The 3-time Sixth Man of the Year played in the league for 20 years and saw some of the biggest stars in the game rise up.

The Mavs’ superstars Luka Doncic certainly impressed the 41-year-old. In a recent appearance at the Rex Chapman Show, Crawford spoke about what makes Luka so special.

“Luka plays like he has headphones on and what I mean by that is it doesn’t matter the pressure you give him it doesn’t matter, he’s at peace…. He’s so at peace he’s and you can tell the game’s in slow motion for him right he doesn’t care.”

The 41-year-old also share an anecdote about how the Slovenian’s toughness.

“We’re in the bubble last year at the time…….. I see Luka at the at the mill room… He’s limping like really limping as he’s walking. I said, ‘there’s no way he’s playing tonight.’ That was the night he hit the game-winning shot against the Clippers when he had 42 points.

“That tells me he’s a gamer, he’s tough, he can shoot it. He’s a little bit quicker than you think. When we try to press him, he’s a little bit stronger than you think…… Luka is amazing the fact he’s so young, he’s a savant already.”

Currently Doncic is playing in 2021 NBA playoffs and is having a rematch against the Clippers. He has been on a different tier in the two games so far putting up a total of 71 points and leading the Mavs to 2-0 series lead.

If Doncic continues his immaculate form, there so no doubting that Dallas will become a dark horse contender. Can the Slovenian exact revenge over the Clippers and lead his team to a deep playoff run?
