Injuries seem to have become contagious for the Los Angeles Lakers. Just as a player is getting back on the court, another seems to make his way off. As of now, Anthony Davis and Lonnie Walker IV remain on the sidelines with injuries while Austin Reaves finds his way into the list. All three are set to miss the coming few games for the Lakers. These troubles have added to their rocky season, forcing the front office to switch to crisis management. With this in mind, the Lakers have signed a 10-day contract with Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s former teammate.

The Lakers’ Twitter handle announced that they have signed Sterling Brown, a shooting guard/power forward on a ten-day contract. Brown has previously spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Houston Rockets. However, he has failed to secure a good amount of time on the court. The idea behind this deal is for Brown to make up for the lack of wing depth seen in the team with Walker and Reaves being injured. Furthermore, they hope that he creates a valuable impact with more minutes on the hardwood.

It may seem like the front office is working toward fixing issues. However, fans seemingly aren’t impressed with this effort. For starters, they mentioned that with a wing player, they also need someone tall and built. They believe that Brown’s 6’5″ height will not help the team. Some fans who have seen him play before have also claimed that Brown will add no value to the team. Fans even predicted that at the end of the season, LeBron James would file for a trade request while constant jabs were taken at the Lakers’ general manager Rob Pelinka and the entire front office.
