Seth Curry married Doc Rivers’ daughter Callie in 2019. Rivers revealed recently how his daughter talked about keeping Curry and not trading him to the Brooklyn Nets. In the aftermath, fans started trolling Rivers for this statement.

He had to make changes to the team and also help move her daughter to Brooklyn, which was very difficult for him. As far as this trade is concerned, he put the team first.

Doc Rivers faced a difficult situation with the trade

During the interview, he mentioned and discussed how difficult it was for him to make that decision since her daughter was also involved. “Trading Seth, I had to deal with my daughter … who had two young babies. That’s a completely different thing,” Rivers said. “The night before, because there was a rumor it was going to happen, I get a call from my daughter.”

Callie asked her father to not trade her husband Seth Curry. However, Rivers traded Seth to Kevin Durant‘s Nets. After Rivers revealed this, the efforts of Seth Curry’s wife had NBA fans in splits. Fans criticized Rivers for the trade. One fan commented, “His daughter knows more ball than him.”

Doc Rivers then added it has worked out for his daughter in Brooklyn and he can drive and visit her whenever he wants.
