Bucks head coach, Mike Budenholzer was slammed for his coaching throughout the series as well. However, the latest sorrowful update about Budenholzer has stunned the NBA world and possibly explains his disappointing performance in the postseason.

After the Bucks’ loss to the Heat, All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo lost his cool during a press conference. Though he gave quite a candid answer, it was unusual of him to lose his cool like that. The Bucks had a torrid time in the postseason, and the misery compounded with off-court incidents.

But now, devastating news has come to light regarding the Bucks’ head coach. Mike Budenholzer’s brother had passed away in a car accident during the series between the Bucks and the Heat.

That may explain why Budenholzer was not on his A-game throughout the series. The Bucks’ head coach made some major coaching blunders during the final games, but after this recent update, one can see why he may not have been in a perfectly stable state of mind.

However, news is still coming out about his uncertain future with the Bucks organization. Even after the fact that Budenholzer and his family suffered a devastating loss, which in turn, would explain his distracted presence on the sidelines.

Mike Budenholzer was not at his best during Game 5 as he missed out on calling a timeout when they had one left late in the game. That could’ve potentially changed the outcome of the game and extended the series to the point where the Bucks might have turned things around.
