Popularly known as the French prodigy, Victor Wembanyama will soon make his way to the States for the 2023 NBA Draft. The 2x LNB All-Star has officially declared his decision to enter the 2023 NBA Draft. Wembanyama made the announcement during an exclusive interview with Malika Andrews on ESPN’s NBA Today.

He said, “I’m really excited to announce that I’m gonna declare to the 2023 NBA Draft. So, I hope it’s big news. Obviously, it’s big news for me, I hope it’s big news for you.”

According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, Wembanyama has reportedly submitted the necessary documents ahead of the June Draft. When asked about the team with the highest possibility of drafting him, Wembanyama had previously indicated that he would be comfortable playing for any team that chooses him.

He said, “I am not worried; there is no bad organization. I never tell myself I don’t like to go there. Every organization is so careful about their players that there’s no wrong destination.”

During an episode of NBA on TNT, he said, “I’ll tell you what, Victor Wembanyama will be great in San Antonio. If he goes to San Antonio, he’ll definitely gain some weight.”
