The roller coaster of a season is nearing an end with the Los Angeles Lakers pushing hard to earn a spot in the playoffs. With Lakers fans looking forward to Pau Gasol’s special night with the organization, a scary play involving Anthony Davis has sent a shiver down their spines. The 8x All-Star was seen with blood over his face after going up for a rebound against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Lakers fans feared the worst as Davis headed to the locker room after busting his nose open. With LeBron James already out due to an ankle injury, fans were in denial after the blow to AD. However, Davis returned to the game just before halftime to turn the Lakers fans’ frowns upside down.

The Lakers were down by 6 points when Davis returned to the court. AD has kept the hopes of the team alive, as he has 15 points in just 15 minutes, looking as much the star he did during the championship season. The fans await to watch the 2020 champion go off against Ja Morant less Grizzlies in the second half.

Can the Lakers make it to the playoffs?

Considering the tight competition in the Western Conference, the Lakers have a very difficult path to the postseason. Moreover, the teams standing from 9th to 13th seed have the same record. Though few wins can help the team move up the table easily, anything can happen this season. With AD leading the team from the front, only time will tell if the Lakers can fulfill the fans’ hopes.
